China is a very important market for us. To accelerate vehicle catalyst business growth in Chemical & Oxides China, we are looking for a Sales Manager.
Job Summary:
This role is critical in driving growth and expansion in China. The Sales Manager will play a key part in positioning the company as a leader in its industry in China. The incumbent is an experienced sales leader with solid experience in the vehicle catalyst industry, to work closely with our manufacturing team in Zibo, Shandong province, under the guidance of our global sales Director in US to accelerate sales growth in China market. This is a newly created role and will be suitable for someone who has a strong business mindset and passion to win. The location of the position can be flexible in cities close to Shanghai.
Duties/Responsibilities:
? Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the Chinese market to achieve revenue growth and market expansion
? Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify new opportunities
? Align the sales strategy with corporate goals and regional market conditions.
? Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance targets.
? Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.
? Identify and prioritize high-potential markets within China and develop strategies to penetrate those markets
? Establish and grow relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners
in the region
? Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
? Manage key accounts and ensure they receive tailored solutions and support to meet their specific needs.
? Develop effective sales processes and consistent achievement of sales targets
? Monitor sales performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize results
? Oversee pricing strategies and ensure profitability in line with the company’s financial objectives
? Work closely with other departments, specifically product development, R&D and operations, to drive product & process innovation and ensure agile
execution of sales expansion strategies
? Provide market feedback to influence product development and service improvements.
? Compliance & Risk Management to ensure compliance with local regulations and business practices in China
? Manage sales contracts, negotiations, and agreements to protect the company’s interests
? Regularly report sales results and forecasts to senior management
? Use sales analytics to provide insights into market conditions, competition, and
sales performance
Required Skills/Abilities and Experience:
? Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field. An MBA is preferred
? 15 years of technical sales experience, with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role with multinational and domestics catalyst makers
? Deep understanding of the automotive market, industry trends, and Tier1 customer dynamics & OEM movements. Experience with emission control catalysts is preferred
? Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high-performance sales results
? Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals at senior levels
? Strong data-driven decision-making skills, with experience in sales analytics and forecasting
? Understanding of China’s automotive regulatory environment and its impact on OEM model rollout and sales strategies
? Strong relationship-building skills and an extensive network within relevant
industries in China
? Mature personality, ability to listen to various stakeholders to understand the needs and use critical thinking to generate insightful actions
? Fluency in Mandarin and English
