Job Description

The State Street Global Privacy Office is hiring
a Data Protection Officer, AVP for the APAC region to join our global team. The
position is to be located in China and will report to the Global Data
Protection Officer.



Primary Responsibilities

? Perform the functional responsibilities of the
Data Protection Officer for the legal entities located in the APAC region,
including China, Singapore, and Australia)

? Assist with the development and maintenance of
centralized Global Privacy Office processes and procedures covering all
regulatory requirements governing Privacy and Data Protection of personal data,
with a focus on requirements for jurisdictions in the APAC region

? Identify emerging trends in the regulatory
environment and contribute to the open and collaborative communication of the
same to ensure regulatory information is shared across key functions in a
timely manner

? Aid in the identification of, and resolution
planning for, various risk and compliance issues, breaches and potentially
suspicious activities; open compliance issues when appropriate

? Track and monitor compliance issue resolution
plans and work in conjunction with Compliance, business and/or functional unit
partners to help ensure accuracy of accountabilities and adherence to relevant
policies, procedures, and guidelines

? Participate in the establishment and
implementation of compliance training and education programs to keep business
and/or functional unit personnel appraised of compliance policies and
regulatory obligations

? Cultivate effective relationships with
internal business partners to maintain engagement
